Students in grades 1, 3, and 6 travelled to the Craftsbury Ski center on Monday for a couple of hrs of cross country skiing. The conditions were perfect. Fast and smooth were two words that described the trail conditions. I was part of the 6th grade group that was able to ski the duck pond trail and Murphy's Field. All total, we skied a little over 4 km in about an hr and a half. Many thanks to the Craftsbury ski center for donating their trails and equipment to our school. Everyone in grades k-8 will get an opportunity to go there free of charge before the skiing season is over. I heard many positive comments from the kids as they skied the trails.
A few sixth graders skiing down one of the challenging hills in Murphy Field!!!!
